Compliance Training

Anyone else get pulled off the floor and rushed through about 20 different computer trainings today? The training on the computers in the office stated that it was due in the middle of July but we are being told it has got to be completed by the end of the week. Not sure how thats going to happen with our huge store and only five or six computers to use for training. We had managers put us into groups to work together on computers and tablets checking in on us several times while we worked on training telling us to just click through everything so that they could get another group into the office to do training. How are we supposed to learn anything if we have to just click through to complete the training? If we are going to do training on stuff like active shooting and chemicals, shouldn't we be allowed time to actually learn it? Whats the hurry, is this late training from last year?

Just heard from our floor mgrs yesterday here in DFW-we are going to be taken off the floor one at a time beginning next week to get our annual compliance knocked out.

Our ho-e district was told the same thing and everyone is doing training on tablets on the sales floor during the friends and family starting today. Now we gotta juggle customers and the credit contest while we take Pride pictures and videos and have so many open jobs that most managers are running registers and we have a negative service score. It doesn't seem like anyone knows how crazy it is in a store nowadays and we won't make bonus because we don't have enough help to take care of the customers and are being distracted by all this other stuff.

Even though the due date is July, it's all a competition. Which store has the lead in compliance - basically a completion percentage game. You don't want to be the ones trailing behind or you'll see mass hysteria come mid July.

The courses don’t let you click through unless they changed it this year. And if your employee number isn’t input, you won’t get marked as complete on the compliance report. So you would have to come back abd retake all those courses.

Can't do group training. Each associate has to log in to the course with their number to get credit. You need to call HR and report this. If it's being done this way, then someone is entering your numbers and clicking through the course for you to finish without your knowledge.
It is not catch up from last year. Has to be done every year. Legal and OSHA requirements.
