Since being laid off in February, I have found a job not only making more money than I ever would with the railroad, but also a work at place I make my own schedule, never work weekends and don’t miss anything with my family anymore. Really it’s my fault why didn’t I do this sooner. What a great present getting cut ended up being. Heading to the mountains for some summer fun. Ttyl.

Railroad has the strongest "company" men of any blue collar profession.
Stop lying to yourself. If you are posting that you have something better now it’s because you don’t.
I don’t know about the OP but I drive heavy equipment to its destination for construction companies. Usually 2 days then a fly back or to another location. Depending on situation it’s a great gig. No stress. Pay is better than RR. FWIW
