Retention bonuses

Some folks in tech got retention bonus up to 10K, don’t know the exact terms but they need to stay for 2 years. What’s the deal? Who has the news? I didn’t hear anything and manager knows nothing (as usual)

Most of the bonuses and promotions in technology go to a small number of the CTO posse that he has brought in from Expedia.
It's a known issue here and has been so since Edmond has come in.
HR is useless to do anything about it no matter how much evidence of bias has been documented by exiting employees.
$10k for two years is nothing. You can get that in a signing bonus and a fat raise at the moment you land a job just about anywhere else in Seattle.

Ge-z I would settle for $10K bonus. I'll take it if you refuse that kind of money. A lot of people out there need a raise. I work at Nordstrom and am underpaid and overworked. The department is understaff pretty much daily and management doesn't train new hires thoroughly. I definitely pick up and correct their slacks daily.
