Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Oh no, not again

One thing that gave me the most stress while working here was the store manager. That frustrated person was a source of stress and problems for several people including myself. When I moved to a new company, it was really good for a while, especially because I didn't have to see her anymore.
And then recently, what a terrible coincidence... she came to the company where I'm working now. How many old Sears colleagues do you have in new companies?

If they're hiring former Sears Managers you are in trouble. The only way former Sears Managers are getting hired is because their buddies and pals networked them in.

If your current company is in better financial shape than Sears (which seems likely), you might find she isn't such a problem anymore. The pressure on these people in the decaying Sears environment was enormous. They were hounded hourly over protection agreement sales, credit apps, and other nonsense.
