Who’s thinking about not only leaving Macy’s, but the retail industry as well?
I have tried to get a job in some better companies in retail, however, it is very difficult because there are a lot of candidates. I was even thinking of getting a job at a fast food restaurant, just to give it a try. I would love to hear the experiences of those who have left retail? Where did you end up?

@1fon Look into a medical and healthcare career. My neighbor trained to be a radiologist tech in about than a year. Was hired by the local county hospital where she did her internship. She now works 40 hours a week (she does work one weekend per month) and makes $32 an hour. She loves it.

I'm in online and phone customer service now for a reputable manufacturing company.
It is quite different from retail, but uses similar skills.

I haven’t officially started looking however I’ve been thinking about it a lot—leaving Macy’s. A LOT these past couple of weeks. I don’t want to go to another retailer that’s for sure. I want Mon to Fri
