Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Currently magement sees employees as a liability

In my experience the heart of the matter falls at management’s doorstep. Literally, stuff rolls downhill, and it does.

How many CS managers have recently learned to leverage contractors that are a FTE of an OUTSIDE sub-contract company? Not paid directly by CS.

How many managers can say they are team leaders looking to grow a team and foster innovation, creativity, productivity, growth, teamwork or anything, for anyone but themselves?

And speaking of teamwork, how many Engineers would rally around their manager? How many Engineers would write an email stating the wonderful things that management (or their manager) is doing?

On the contrary, how many CS Directors and VP’s have made quarterly plans to trashcan the Engineers who helped them achieve their goals?

Management has become an Amway pyramid scheme. Shuffling YES-MEN (and YES-WOMAN) through the doors and then firing them when they learn more than their manager(s).
