Thread regarding Kroger Co. layoffs

I’ve had enough

After more than 10 years with the company I finally left. I just walked out. Told manager I quit and I felt such relief and even a twinge of happiness. Kroger is a terrible company that doesn’t value their employees one iota. Over the last year this has taken a toll on my mental health and it has been worse these last few months. I may be called an id--t for just walking out, but I’m financially stable that I can look for work at least 6 months and feel at ease. Hopefully I’ll find a company that values and appreciates their employees.

Stop screaming CBA and Union and put in a fair days work and you might feel differently. You all expect something for nothing. How’s your attendance? How’s your productivity?
People like you suck everything they can out of a job and do as little as possible to get by. You were probably on your way out anyway. No great loss to Kroger.

Good for you! The starting pay at other retailers is much higher than Kroger! You will probably make more starting out at a competitor than 10 years with Kroger!
