Curios. Does Microsoft utilize an employee performance management tool known as a 9-Block? A 9-block tool forces a manager to rank each employee's performance based on Behavior and Results. Additionally, human resources mandates the numbers of employees by percentage in the tool; therefore, better employees get favorable reviews and annual pay increases and lower ranked employees get zero and placed on "performance improvement plans". Maybe they use a similar tool or philosophy?

Truer words. You either get plum assignments based on age (under 30) or tossed to the wolves, sitting alone at your desk (at home) wondering when you'll be let go due to lack of work. Microsoft is the worst.
would not surprise me, as that's how Microsoft treats its employees. there is not a fair process, all based on who is the favorite for the managers. some certain people get the great assignments, others are thrown onto the street.
Does EM use this same 9-block assessment?
Most tech companies use equivalent process: Microsoft is no different
