Why do people care so much about how TR will do in the future? Especially those who are easily employable and don't have to worry about their jobs? As far as I'm concerned, this place can crash and (metaphorically) burn. Actually, if that would mean some consequences for this management, then I'd be happy to see it. This is just a job, not a family business I need to get emotionally invested in. The more people realize this, the easier all of this will be for them.

One of the issues is that when people join TR, they truly believe that their performance will be recognized, they have a career and that what they do will truly matter as it relates to their development. As we all know that couldn't be further from the truth, and when HR talks to prospective employees they don't tell them everything, and shortly after joining, they get a taste of the dysfunction that is TR. People end up hanging on and hoping what is happening around them won't impact them, so in essence they waste years here, which could have been better applied in a company where performance truly matters. The one thing you can't get back is time, and in many cases TR wastes it, so now you have to go and start somewhere new. Everyone needs to do their diligence, let the buyer beware.
Based on my observation, the people concerned are the ones trying to get their full pension with healthcare and only have 5 years or less to go. They started with West Publishing out of high school and this is all they have known for a full time job. So starting over coupled with being in their 50s is weighing on their minds. I guess everyone has a different situation.
Yeah, it's really weird how leadership keeps trying to get us excited about things that improve the company for shareholders but make our lives worse.
