Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Not functioning at a 100%

I’m going to admit that our BU isn’t up to par. In fact, it is well below it. After that huge layoff last year I knew deep down inside that we were in trouble. There was too much experience and tribal knowledge that we had lost, and so many people we depended on to resolve issues when they arose were gone. We are feeling the effects to this day. Those layoffs hurt this company more than they realize.

All these 3 look for is someone to blame and castigate. I would add Dave Schirm to this list.

The Bella/Vin/Bruce triangle is as bad as it gets.

I agree about those 3 (Bella/Vin/Bruce) they are all part of a click and don't care for anyone.

I suspect your new VP is Bruce Melusi (SP). be careful about him. Big back stabber and yes part of the Vin/Bella gang.

So sad to go back into that office this week and be yelled at by my manager. a VP, Director, and Manager resigned in my group because they had it with the abusive culture. Even the SVP of our group resigned and I heard he couldn't stand the horrible culture. All of us are just looking for jobs and keeping our heads down. There is some new SVP running our group, who looks like he is 80 years old, he's New York buddies with Bella and Vin. I'm so depressed.

Hi, I’m not one of the 553, but one that has a very close business relationship to a current newish employee. I have since heard talks , no sorry speeches by a Vin and a Schirm. Not that I know all that much about your IT workings, but have you both ever played back your speeches. Jesus, get to the point.

Excited to hear about his new RTO plan. Anyone know who’s in charge of that?

I couldn't agree more. I was one of the 550 let go. Since then a number of former teammates and end users that had my contact information have reached out with questions and issues. I have politely declined every request. I pointed every one of them to contact whoever is left on my old team and/or their manager. A couple weeks later a former teammate called me to complain that people are asking him questions that only I knew the answer to. He said he directed them "officially" to contact his manager and even included the manager on the email. He is not taking responsibility and if his manager wants him to work on this then it needs to be official. Nothing ever happened.
