Already happening - some very high level engineers are “retiring” or stepping away. That’s the nice way of saying they were no longer needed. More coming as cable and especially voice disconnects increase each quarter. Unless you are in wireless or internet I would look elsewhere.
Not a very reliable source, so I hope somebody can outright deny it.
