Thread regarding DealerSocket layoffs

What's the final number?

We all know it was bad, is there any way to know exactly how bad it was? And can we know that it is truly over and there won't be any more similar surprises before the end of the week? The lack of transparency in this whole thing is making me nervous, to say the least.

Word on the street it was close to 300 employees whose positions were being replaced by an India consulting firm. Typical American IT move.

Wild. Im curious to see what their game plan is over the next few months, I will almost guarantee you this is not over. Fixed operations has remained afloat, minus a few. Very curious to see what they do with us.

I received the severance packet yesterday. The positions, ages, and number of people cut in each position were listed. I didn't count very closely but it looks like the number is close to 275. That includes immediate terminations plus those that have 60 to 90 days to wrap up their work before shown the door.
