Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Stupid strategy

Back in 2018, I questioned RR about the strategy. RR mentioned that Juniper is just $5B in $50B market that includes routing, switching and security. He doesn't want to focus on other areas rather try to increase the market share in this markets. I asked how the competitors can give up their share and there is no answer.

back in 2014, Juniper sold Pulse secure and closed ADC projects. Now, Juniper lost an sase entry point with the loss of Pulse secure. How they are advertising that they are in sase market. They could have observed how zscalar, netskope, laceworks and illumio are changing the security landscape and could have tried different markets. Clearly wrong vision and strategy from the leaders.

There probably isn’t someone better than RR.

It's not their fault. It's the consultants fault they outsourced strategy to over the years. So I guess it is their fault. My bad.

Why has the board not sacked RR yet! What allows him to have that grip over the company.
