Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

What change can incompetent management make?

In most cases, management is completely incompetent. Someone said it well, the more they try to fix things, the worse they get.
I used to really like working here but now I am counting down the days until retirement and I am glad that I will not be here to see the results of the activities that Aramco management is working on.

What about you?

  1. You're a nouveau riche flaunting how you're still bagging ca$h. I get it, enjoy it while it lasts.

I only hope you're saving and not falling victim your rockstar lifestyle. Might be a hard crash for your kids that after sending them to Swiss boarding schools with the kids of Royals and "Le Creme de la creme" they may discover that Mommy and Daddy are broke because of it.

  1. One of those Western Passport Holders who uses Fair&Handsome by the Case. I get it too and enjoy it while it lasts, Beta.
  1. A Saudi troll. Go back to checking onthe expat preparing the Powerpoint presentation you are going to give your Department head after Eid.

If you fit in any one of first two 2 categories, good for you. Keep on cashing.
If you're in category 3, well also enjoy it while it lasts since your kids or maybe grandkids will probably have to learn how to pick up a broom (Oh the horror!)

I bagged plenty and going to these forums is a cathartic guilty pleasure.

The way I see it it's simple. They only care about moving to the next desk. Whenever somebody from high up causes a fuss about performance they just scramble and run around in circles without really assessing about what really needs to be done. In my particular case I pointed out clearly about what needed to be done. Just simple things to fix 80% of the problems. But the bufoon I had for a boss dismissed me sarcasticallly saying that "wow you should be the superintendent". After that I just gave up and just focused on the monthly apology check and investments. Meanwhile at work it was just about showing up on time, preparing powerpoint presentations, reports, not to mention all the PSM/Operational Excellence manure.
Just pass GO and collect your 200, not much else to really do.
