Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel HR

With Sandra in new role, hope Intel appoints a HR leader with HR experience. Many good HR younger talent left Intel due to having terrible internal HR leadership. Will Pat bring in talent that left or someone new to Intel? Any guesses?

I’ve seen lousy managers repeatedly survive legitimate IC complaints to HR, but I’ve also seen managers give BEs/IRs to do-nothing ICs with the IC responding successfully with harassment charges! It seems that the default result favors the a-ho-e, whoever that may be.

HR: This shows HR really is a criminal org! They really would do nothing!

There were some good bench players in HR and they left due to bad leadership in HR. My friends in HR tell me that organization is very toxic and has scored the lowest on employee engagement surveys. Leadership does not care is what I heard.

Matt Smith worse than Richard Taylor. Sandra worse than Matt Smith. They all were focused on their own careers and retentions and did not care for company or employees.

Bad managers need to be removed...PERIOD! Escalations to HR have proven to have inconsistent actions which result in reinforcement of bad behavior by the bad managers and result in a real sense of hopelessness by the vulnerable employees. Many extremely talented scientists and engineers have been reduced to much less than their full potential white the bad managers continue to get promotions and more power. Pat and HR need to review all managers and fix this cancer.

Not realistic to expect HR to clean things up at Intel. Half of them are related to the bad actors.

Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic does not help. Sandra moving to new group only brings mayhem to where she goes.

I think HR has been a driver of bad behavior more than a follower. They aren’t alone, but they’ve done a lot of shady stuff...

Not excusing HR but their job is to defend the company management, and if the company has been overrun by a foul clique then they just have to hold their nose.

It would be difficult for any HR leader to be worse than RT.
