We have corporate stores hiring temp agents at rock bottom wages with people who want to do the job surprising less than we do in the retail environment, that's a feat. Imagine being so worthless at making an effort to hire talent that you'd rather act like you're trying and hire slag. Verizon will continue to glorify the side hustle when we just want a liveable wage again and incentive to work like sales people need. Why the fu-k am I going to push upgrades when they do not pay me. Think about it. These people can't hold down minimum wage jobs and here they are being temped in like indirect retail s**t locations.
If they just gave incentives to do our job instead of a stacked deck of unreachable quotas then maybe we'd be driving customer retention. I've had 3 commission checks this year within 10 cents of each other. Somehow every month we get a flush of surveys right at the end if we're going to go over with multipliers, think about it. When a customer says they want to leave, I smile and hand them their account number and pin.
Verizon doesn't want me to make money, then I want them to bleed money too. Keep paying the people that only show face on bluejeans the wages that the salespeople should be making because they help fill our "diversified" workplace.
How the mighty have fallen, welcome to Sprint 2.0. Maybe we can get Paul Marcarelli to speak for us. Higher ups, can you hear us yet?
