12 or 15 go-back rods??! If only. On our floor in a northeast location, we regularly have 70+.
Its not by design, its the reality of retail (look at Lowes/Kohls/Walmart) in particular at Macy*s. Retail has taken a hard hit as folks that left have not come back. On top of that that stores that hire people may believe that its an easy job. Then they are asked to recover an area with 12 go back rods. then the next day there are 15 rods and so on and so on.
They (Macy*s) or any other retailer or company do not want turn. It is very costly and drives moral and service right down the drain. When you have staffing shortages the pressure builds and doesn't stop building. Its not a matter of proving someone right or wrong. Its a result of the staffing levels.
