Intel’s pay/ benefits is already below industry average as they still think that their name has value but there are far better places to work and with higher salaries to boot.
I also think top dogs overestimate the value of Intel’s name. I often wonder what is this brand really worth today?

Laid off in 2019. While interviewing, companies like AllState, Shutterfly, Epiq Global and a bunch of other ones you’d have to google to recognize were “Ooohhh, you come from Intel!”
Amazon, Salesforce, Lenovo were “Whatevs.”
Had offers from all the above; picked Salesforce. Quit in a year - the group I landed with was worse than Intel!!

but believe it will be recognize for another 10 years
after 10 years, who knows Intel still exist?
Intel on the resume is a liability.
