Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Space Jam

Do you think Space Jam limited edition launch was good or not good for the Fossil brand? It brought a lot of attention, but are partnerships like these good brand building or selling out?

Wait wait…didn’t we stop doing licenses for limited editions like this Bc it “wasn’t “in the circle””?!? 😂

If SJ is all we‘ve to solve a substantial sales decline then I would say ‚The last one should turn off the lights pls‘.

Yeah but Coach is a Movado product which has always and will always be a leader in quality luxury watches. Sorry, but the Space Jam products look...well ummmm...for kids and ummmmm....putting it as nicely as I can.

Made me immediately think of Coach when I saw this (Coach has the Peanut and Disney characters in their product)!

I think it was good overall and i hope we do many more of these - the brand needs to be revamped and needs to go younger and benefit from positive association in consumers mind...we will never win with Apple and we will never be a prestige watch brand, we dont have the heritage nor the pricing power. But we can certainly fill a gap in the market for creativity and gateway price points in the world of watches. I think it was a good initiative and well executed and hope we do many more.
