So far I have not had a store manager here who had the ability to separate personal from professional. The current SM cultivates an inexplicable animosity towards certain employees and this is clearly noticeable.
Why is that? Why is this happening? It's like he's afraid of some employees, that's how it all looks to me.

The tough times bring out the best and worst in people. Depending on who you hire you get a "Hero" or a "Zero". To be a "Hero", you have to put your workers before yourself and nurture them so that they will come through for you. Macy's is no different than any other company when things go south. A "Hero" must be trustworthy and honest at all times. A "Hero" must have solid core values and must not compromise them. A "Hero" must honor his/her commitments. The goal of every "Hero" is to create more "Heroes". "Heroes" and "Zeros" are like oil and water. They are fundamentally incompatible. A company that supports "Heroes" is a winning company. Conversely, a company that supports "Zeros" runs the risk of a 0.0 ROI. "Heroes" shine and "Zeros" try and hide in the darkness.
