How prepared are you in case layoffs are announced?
Although there have been some rumors about layoffs on this site as well as from some colleagues, I am still safe. However, I always remember one colleague who was convinced that there would be no layoff and if there were, that he would not be the target because that would make no sense. And yes, he got laid off.

Agreed. Have been preparing for years. My job may not be safe. But I am. At least to the extent possible.
I am not worried about layoffs anymore because, well let me put it to you this way, I am “light in the loafers”. The company likes to include me in the workplace to keep up the illusion of a diverse workplace.
