I'm wondering if people who were laid off can reapply for other positions within the company? A former coworker is having trouble finding employment months after being cut and is now considering reapplying here. I think that might put his severance in danger but he believes that's not true. Does anybody know for sure? And can he reapply in the first place?

Electrical apprentice got layed off and re-applied for a Supervisor position and is now on first shift. Anything is possible.

If he took a severance package you no longer can work for BNSF. In the severance package you had to sign that document. After it’s signed there no looking back.
