Or twice a year, whatever. I just wish I knew ahead of time instead of having to worry about it all the time.

If you think Teradata had loyalty to employees, you are sadly mistaken. They never did and frankly, it wasn’t expected. You worked. You got paid. You could leave at any time. They could lay you off at any time. Pretty straightforward.
And HR continues to say how valuable employees are. They cut people without thinking twice to meet Profitability targets and get their annual bonus. People work 20 or 30 years and they get a scripted 10 minute heartless discussion. What happened to honor and respect in corporations? There is no loyalty left at Teradata. All the smart people are jumping ship.
We do have a set day - It’s called Monday.
Que sera sera!!
TDC has the layoff process down. Oct 30th. 30 minute calls with your manager and HR. Manager reads from a script. “Sorry your position has been eliminated” blah blah blah. Merry Christmas. Then a town hall where the CEO tells you how valued you are and how important diversity is while never mentioning revenue.
Well you kind of know if you've been there long enough. From my experience you can guarantee the end of the 3rd quarter so the books can look more profitable by 4th & the next 1st quarter.
I have enough things to stress about in my life as it is.
