So I received a job offer a few days ago at Intrado specifically in the notified pr software division. It’s a role that is on a new team being built out. I thought the people I interviewed with were great and the pay is above average and it seems chill but as I’m reading more about the company and possible sale of notified I am conflicted. Can anyone offer some insights? Am I being conned?

Whatever happen, did you take the job? Look at now and then tell us if your opinion has changed. Appears this place was sold off and folks laid off as many have stated. Not much left, even the dumpsters are gone. At least new tenants have moved and now plenty of parking space.
Take it! It’s the brightest spot in the entire company right now! You will regret it later if you dont take it now. Bright future for this portion of the West legacy.
Take the job and look for another in the interim
Don’t waste your time. Clients are leaving Intrado in droves for better and more modern solutions.
You’re not being conned but I wouldn’t take the job. Intrado is 1 company 4 entities each entity is up for individual sale because they are owned by a larger corporation, Apollo & no job is safe. Upper management is bad & HR isn’t any better if you have any problems. you’ll be looking for another job in about a year.
I doubt you are being conned. The people at the level you interviewed with are likely to be genuine.
- With any corporation there are risks taking on a new position, or, for that matter employment in general. Nobody guarantees employment. There are people that have thrived and people that have not as in any corporation.
- Yes, people have been laid off and there has been talk of sale for several years now as it is owned by a private investment company. Not many employees will have a window into the future, just conjecture.
- I wouldn't advise you in either direction, just stating some common points to consider any place you go.
