Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

It might be too late

I'd like to think there's still time to undo all the mistakes and wrong moves and get this company back on track, but I think it might be time to admit that we are too far gone by now. Too much damage has been done to even entertain the idea of turning things around. Which means that it's time to start looking for a new job.

Ugh! New leadership changes just announced failed to get rid of the Broadband Networks lead. What the He-l?! That's the exact person who needs to go.

"The stock is up to $21.50 after floundering so long between $10 and $14. "

Short-term gain is not indicative of reality or long-term prognosis. The c-suite and senior management do not understand L-ARRIS products. They dumped products and didn't maintain global business relationships. They're now trying to rebuild lost relationships while trying to revive products and claw black [too much] market share. Sr. management is primarily L-CommScope and Carlyle henchmen who don't know the products, and they simply refuse to talk to anyone who knows the products and who provides educated input.

The c-suite also mistakenly thinks that employees (many older) don't have options and will simply stay put and deal with terrible benefits and long hours. They are wrong. People are leaving in droves, and those not leaving are planning their exit. It's a good job market out there...and employees of all ages know that.

Things are not looking up. Revenues are not rebounding like competitors due to continued loss of market share. CS has become a joke. Their failure to develop new tech and business lines, while continuing to chase old ideas will break them. Kinda reminds me of watching someone racing the Freeze at the Braves games…. The competition catches up, passes you, and never looks back.

The stock is up to $21.50 after floundering so long between $10 and $14. The c-suite seems to be doing something right. I think spinning off CPE and transferring some of the debt to them is the right decision. Things are starting to look up from this former employee's perspective, anyway.
