Thread regarding CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield layoffs

I'd be grateful to be laid off at this point

Let me preface this by saying this is not a bad place to work, at least overall. However, some things have been changing in the past few years that have really soured me on the company. I was passed for a promotion twice in the past two years, both times for people who have been here nowhere near as long as I and who are most certainly not better at their jobs than I am. What they are better at is kissing up and yes-men-ing. And if those are the qualities that are required to progress your career here these days, then I'd rather move on.

I agree it’s not a bad place to work. It just seems we lack direction. It’s stated by BP but no one can figure how to effectively execute it. Management is not knowledgeable about processes and getting things done. The workers are what keeps the company together. However for those that have been there a while it’s a take, take situation.
As for the mandate. MD is a right to work state. You don’t want to get the shot, feel free to go look for another position. If you have true medical exemptions, put in that paperwork. Any company in MD can make this mandate, but it’s your choice to work here or not.

I wanted to be laid off and collect severance, but eventually enough was enough and I quit two months ago.

CEO at my new place sometimes overloads us with information on how the business is going in his company wide emails and calls instead of rambling on about an explosion on the other side of the world that has literally 0 impact on our business.
