Does anyone have any insights on whether Intel will offer early retirement? At this point, I would like nothing more than early retirement.

If that were true Pat would have fired several hundred useless VP and directors and used the money to hire real engineers. No chance that will happen since Pat is just a fat mouthed bloviator like the rest of them.
I qualified for retirement in March 2016, the big 2016 ISP/VSP/ERP purge was announced in April, decided to pull the trigger in May and was gone in June. Best decision evah!
I wouldn’t hold your breath for another ERP, though. Pat seems focused on shoring up talent not letting it go.

Kind of a touchy subject since the the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission determined that Intel did a bit too much “early retirement” during the last layoff round.
I have a cheap lifestyle and live in a low COL area. I’m not planning on retiring until I have line of sight to 10M. Too much unknown and lots of destabilizing factors around now. All this govt spending will boomerang eventually. It’s not different this time. Sigh...
