Several months ago someone on this site mentioned that Verizon needed to hire door greeters because that’s all managers were doing and it was counterproductive to helping the sales reps. I remember talking about this on a call with a director and DM who basically laughed when I mentioned it. I told them it will take a few years for staffing to straighten out and that a door greeter is nesscessary and using managers or reps is not feasible. They both said it would be nice but would never happen. I guess it happened.

Remember when they had Experience Specialists? If they are going to “save” $100k to have Multi-Store GM’s, the least they could do is hire greeters at minimum wage. All managers do now a days is put tickets in because POS 2.0 doesn’t work or sign people in because we are so short staffed. Everyone is so exhausted. From retail specialists to GM’s. But hey, let’s spend thousands of dollars on changing job titles to align with other companies. Such a joke.
Yes one started in our location a few weeks ago. Now all the managers hang in the back pretending to do stuff. No surprise.
