The longer you work at Raytheon, the less appreciated you are. In any other company, they would bend over backward to reward experience and great work, but not here. Here we are nothing but numbers. Once the number (pay) becomes too high for them, no amount of experience or institutional knowledge will save you. Sad, but true.

This is very true. I worked at Raytheon for 5 years as an Executive Assistant and was laid of in July being told there were too many admins in the program. They laid off two of us who just happen to be the oldest.

My response,
"In any other company"...SAME THING WILL HAPPEN!!! So you need to pick the less of two evils.
This is true. I was constantly told I made the most in our department and was given low raises the finally laid off after the merger to save money. Meanwhile my former manager is getting his raises/bonuses and has no issue accepting.
This is and has been true of Raytheon for some time. Now, as well as being paid to much according to them, now you’re the wrong race as well, and they want you to step aside. That’s what amplifies how lost this company is.
