Intel is an as good place as any to make a decent living, but it's far from perfect. On the one hand, I enjoy what I do and my colleagues are okay people, on the other hand, there’s always RIFs around the corner and I’m always wondering when my number will be called. I think of it as a love-hate relationship until I can get something better.

Well the company began to degrade after Craig Barrett.
The Globalization went wild and US employees were commoditized.
All the while companies like FANG took over the market.
Yes BK accelerated the decline for sure and PG cannot reverse it either.
You forgot the most important thing, dead and future with grimer than grim prospects for the employer
Andy Bryant supplied the roofie
@zgu+1bKmTZr4 BK f’ed this company, literally.
If decent living is all you want lot of places provide that.
Job satisfaction comes from a few other things.
1) Good boss: probably a fail
2) Proud of company, a fail
3) satisfaction of good execution, a fail
4) proud of the great products, a fail.
Yeah collect that decent living paycheck, but don’t be surprise if you get laid off or wonder about what you achieved, LOL
I couldn't agree more. A lot of Intel's current problems stem from BK. Both from the deep structural damage he did in his role as CEO, and also from the very poor performance of TMG while he oversaw that organization.
Yep. I left on my own in q2 this year, after 10+ years. Enjoyed my work and my coworkers were awesome. Never had a bad review, decent pay and RSU. But the FLM sucked and poor decisions made further up the chain, and those incompetent mgrs kept getting promoted. Taking some time off and will look for a new job at other tech companies. BK and Richard Taylor really f’d this company.
