Vince Camuto and Lucky Brand are now at Costco lol .. Costco? are for you real? has the almighty dept. store finally going bye bye? i think its cause Macys is late to paying them and they fear it will go under or bankrupt soon and they don't get paid.. to find another vendor like Costco screams the waters coming in kids..

Consider that Macy's changed it's payment terms to vendors to net 120 last year. This means that vendors are now expected to wait for payment on goods delivered to Macy's stores for 4 months. This amounts to a huge interest free loan to the company from it's vendors and popular vendors like Nike, Vince Camuto, Lucky, and Free People need Macy's less than the company needs them. This is also the reason select stores have been selected to no longer carry brands like Levi, Polo, or Hilfiger that refuse to sell to the company under these new terms. This is shortsighted thinking by our CEO and CFO as we are failing to pick-up customers from other retailers that closed during the pandemic due to not having the assortment they expect to see when shopping a department store.
