Is this the lifestyle one chooses to live? There us no upside.
I personally had a hand in getting the former Chief HR Officer, Chief Digital Officer, and Chief Information Security Officer fired. I won't tell you what I did but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it.
So your boss hired his or her friends and acquitances from their last job and you're the outsider. It's normal behavior because managers like to work with people whom they can control. It's not right but it's what's done at any company. It also means it can backfire because that manager lost his ability to judge when his friends sc--w up and he can't be objective in fixing their behavior.
