Thank you everyone
Document everything. Contact a employment lawyer. In store solutions isn’t for you. It’s to stop law suits. And to protect Macy’s not hear a legitimate complaint. If you go this route expect within a year to be “ fired “ for “customer complaints”, you “ stole “ something or you gave “ a discount “. Macy’s is a dirty company. Best way to get him is ask to be transferred to another dept or location. Say nothing about him.
They won't pay any attention to an anonymous complaint. If you complain and they have your name, you just moved up on the layoff list.
If you are you in a unionized store, you should speak to your shop steward immediately or someone at the union, directly. I believe you are entitled to file a grievance against the manager. I recall how the entire Men's Basics department in the store I was employed in took out a grievance against their sales manager
who was eventually moved to another division within. Also, talk to co-workers who have had the same experience, as a united front might be the best approach to address your problem. I hope this helps. Good luck.
HR isn't there to help employees. It's there to protect Macy's. I wouldn't count on HR, especially at Macy's, to have your back.
