Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Best options for Staples associates

Hi all - I’ve decided it’s time to go. What are the best places to go with Staples on your resume? My relatives all tell me that it’s like Sears and RadioShack but I’d like to think there is still some respect out there. Thoughts?

Retail store and inside account managers, I get why your pi---d. Need to get to outside sales to be happier here. Not being micro managed is amazing and they allow you to be you and work your craft. You have to pay your dues, but once you get there....wow how much nicer it has been working here!

I left a few months ago and it was the best decision I made! To the common person, Staples is still a great company. But those of us who worked there or still work there know what a nightmare of an employer they are. Staples is a sinking ship. Get out now before they lay everyone off and while the interview pool is still in the candidates favor.

I decided to leave and am working at TJX. They are a great company and treat their employees with respect. Other friends are at Bose, which is still a better option for the area.

Good Luck!
