It is not true. Layoffs are happening. Some orgs notified employees last week. 2 months to look for a job.
HR is not talking about packages yet. They are satisfied that folks are leaving on their own. Maybe 2022 May packages will arrive...if we delay CPUs and GPUs further.
Anybody getting offered early retirement earlier than the normal age/rule?
Heard layoffs started last week. Sorry can’t provide the names of the orgs but some employees were notified last week. I am sure it is happening in other groups. Don’t believe the management when they say no company-wide layoffs. It basically means no ACT type one large reduction but small layoffs constantly.
I am also interested in learning about the package details.
