Qualcomm in theory is a technology company. Thus, in theory, Qualcomm is constantly looking for the next great business idea… Marisol, QTV, Qualcomm health, Qualcomm IOS and all have failed and resulted in big layoffs. Qualcomm was best known as a GPS trucking company before CDMA and 3G actually worked. Now Qualcomm is a commodity chip company. Qualcomm will always have layoffs looking for the next great business - which we have found little to no luck in. But the core business today is QCT and QTL…. Everyone else is working at the mercy of management. I don’t understand why people don’t get this!

If you are the majority in Q, you will be the next to be laid off. This majority will cover with each other and put the loading to other people. If you really want to be in the right position in your career, this is not the place that you can grow up, no matter in SD or SJC office.
