LMAO that someone is referring to a corporate culture in the US as Marxist. CF, despite being NFP is capitalist to it's core. It has to be - that's the economy we all live in.

Hard to see how flattening the organizational structure improves advancement opportunities, but somehow it’s supposed to make sense.

Folks, the goal is to shrink OpEx by 20%. CF is way too costly and bloated on resources due to poor processes and dependency on manual labor vs automation. Problem is the culture is one of entitlement. Leadership wants to change this but the inertia is significant to NOT change. You get people uncomfortable to leave, problem is those who can will and find other roles and CF will be stuck with all the B, C, D, and F resources. Good luck attaching and retaining new blood long term.

Sounds like a canned statement straight from PW or Deloitte. They are missing the point, attrition of some of the best associates will certainly hurt the company. Maybe a little communication on the process would help create a better culture. Funny parallel, Marxism philosophy has the same principles and practice as the first reply, tear it all the way down reorg what is left.

As the new career framework is rolled out there are sure to be some displeasure among the ranks. That will cause people who are dissatisfied to leave on their own. As attrition occurs, that gives way to reorganization. As that occurs, that is where layoffs may begin to occur. Cycle: New career framework >> departures >> reorganize what is left >> layoffs.
