I waited in vain for the replacement to come

After the colleagues who worked flawlessly left, the rest of us had a lot more work to do. I could hardly wait for them to make a replacement and I never even thought that they would hire people in their place who are any less capable than their former colleagues. Then came the replacement.
However, the people who came cannot in any way match the colleagues who left. I respect everyone’s work but this is really a shame - to put pressure on great people to leave and accept below-average people in their places. I'm sure there are many more similar experiences?

Dear god, everyone is racist. If you don’t agree, your racist.

Its going to be quite chaotic for the rest of this year (at least). The edict from from above is to wait and see if the remaining team members can absorb the work without a replacement. if that can't be done then a more junior person has to fill the role. Either way it will put a ton of strain on those left behind. UGH!

The new easy way out. Call anything you don't agree with "racist". So pathetic

Hiring practice is still stuck in the 90s. Everyone wants a laundry list of credentials with no room to grow into the roles. So much for developing people into new 'opportunities'. Having said that...how is the OP racist? They mentioned nothing about race/gender.
