Can I relax because there are no layoff rumors on the horizon?

I wouldn't let your guard down even for a moment. I've seen where things are sailing along and suddenly, there's an announcement for a reorganization.
oil price has gone up significantly. That will prevent the need for further redundancies.
Probably smaller, targeted cuts as major projects end or older assets get sold off.
Not sure, seems to me as though BP are struggling to retain experienced staff at the moment as a lot of people a leaving.
I think there will be a reshuffle sooner rather than later. The reorg has been a complete clusterfu*k so they will have to shuffle some things. Especially digital which is a complete mess and waste of money.
