Are there people who haven’t found much better jobs after last year’s cuts? How many have had their careers ruined after layoffs?
Almost everyone I know says they are much better off now, but the question is do people romanticize the truth as well? I’m still here and I’ve been trying to find a new job for months. It’s hard and stressful.

There are very few jobs. Most people are not back in the industry a year on.
Looked for a year but recently came to terms with the fact that I’m likely retired. The job market still sucks, even more so if you are over 50. YMMV.
