Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Quarter ending

Well the truth is about to be told. BBBY won’t be able to explain away if the results are less than market expectations. So many things look and feel wrong with BBBY that haven’t gotten worked out yet. We shall see

Why hasn’t the assortment for all the new items come in yet? Why are we just filling with whatever the warehouse has so that the stores hide the holes? It’s our brand, why so many holes? ASO is ordering but product is not coming. So many I status....

Why has the product assortment on line diminished so much? I get it that the stores will be selling 60% owned brands but we can’t even order basic brands on line anymore.

Stores are getting emails and pushing clearance just like they are supposed to but come on man! Lol. We don’t even have a nylon meat fork available or a silicone bbq glove. SMH

Hmm. I guess I agree with all of you.

We were told we needed to do better with items per transaction and sales per transaction. That increases weren’t good enough.

What’s going on bed bath? Is bbby financially hard up? It’s hard to make do more when you don’t have anything in store or online. Our deliveries were the excess items the warehouse had in stock

I read somewhere that they were starting to use a new inventory and operations system earlier in the year. I guess it’s not gonna work if the product is not available or we don’t have the money to pay for it.

Anyway looking forward to things getting better at bbby.

Retail as a whole is having to play catch up with supply chain issues. I've seen empty shelves in Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Costco, etc. Eventually they will catch up.

Yeah seems like a big supply chain issues for the company with barely anything coming in for the last few weeks outside of a couple of pallets. Store just looks odd with the amount of clearance and same merchandise spread out throughout the store.
