Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

So damn glad I’m gone

I left at the beginning of the year and here’s what I can tell you about my experience there towards the end of my employment. It felt like I was married to an abusive spouse who kept telling me I’d never have it as good with someone else. No matter what I did, it was never good enough and I took all the bullying that was dished out without a whimper. Once I was finally gone I was able to let go of the anger that I keep down for all those years and it felt good not taking management’s cr-p any longer. To the one who said I’d never find anything better, surprise - I’ve found something better and received two raises so far and making more than I did working for HyVee!

I was also able to leave and praise God for that! I’m making a lot more now, and I don’t have to defend my CEO’s actions to my produce employees anymore! I also don’t have to go back in when my closer doesn’t show up, if we have one this week. What a joke.

I have 1 week to go and I am finally finished at Hy-Vee. Found a job that will start me $6 more an hour than I am making now at Hy-Vee after being there 4 years. 4 years of my life wasted that I will never get back. I can't be finished soon enough.

Do not be brainwashed by hyvee. They dont pay as well as other places. They are LOW on the totem pole when it comes to paying their employees and treating them well and respectful.
