Laughing at Concerned Employees

Did anyone else stay on the ISRM All Hands call today long enough to hear the hot mic moment at the end? After the Q&A session, someone said "How about one more question about return to office?" prompting laughter from several members of the executive team. After two consecutive years of employee survey results stating that employees need more transparency from senior leadership, and another call leaving attendees with more questions than answers, they find it appropriate to laugh at employees requesting more information about the future of their employment and livelihood. How disheartening and inappropriate...

How many more tenured employees do they need to resign before they will finally reveal their plans? If attrition was one of their goals, it is quickly being achieved. Turnover is currently at its highest point.

I wish someone would report this. I think people are afraid of retaliation and don't trust HR after earlier people reported management and how they got handled.

MM was very condescending when answering staff questions on the call - definitely not the right time or place for such personal opinions.
No internal communications or appologies on the matter but I hope it gets address during the next all hands meeting.
It speaks volumes for the company culture when this is the attitudes of people at exec level.

Did MM really say that he'd shoot someone, even in a joking manner? That's just poor taste! Good god!

Seems like ole smooth jazz doesn’t understand how mics work, almost as much as he doesn’t under Cyber.

This has been reported to Employees relations and the media.

Ok I think we can all agree that the 'do it again and I'll shoot' comment was a joke. But that said, in today's corporate environment it's an inappropriate one even if no harm was intended. What was acceptable in previous work generations unfortunately are no longer tolerable and unfortunately it means we all need to be careful before we speak. I don't like Political Correctness, but unfortunately it's the new rules of the game. So this incident needs to be flagged at the very least. If anything, the Ethics line could just be pointed to this particular thread.

Report this to the ethics line immediately. Especially if the CISO threatened violence against Jawad.

It wasn’t a hot mic - he was clearly poking fun at the questions with the mic on.

MM making jokes shouldn’t be surprising. Same guy who told Jawad “if you do that again I’m going to shoot you.”

It was definitely disturbing and unprofessional for sure. Comments of what will they ask next, can I wear jeans to work? How about flip flops? just added insult to injury especially with the laughter that followed. I always go by the adage, do not say anything that you cannot say in person. I have been in ISRM from its inception, and this is probably lowest moment I have experienced.
Very discomforting that our leadership think of their employees this way, and perhaps it is just a sign of what is ahead.

The hot mic incident by management shows a complete lack of respect for the entire ISRM team who work diligently day in, day out to better the organization protecting employees, patients, and McKesson respect values.

It is clear the goal is to remove any loyal long service employees. Someone who heard this should report it to the ethics line. The toxic leadership needs to be reported. Update your resume. Move on. Perhaps you can return once this group of “executives” is removed.

Hope someone reported this to Employee Relations.... This is not how leadership shall act.

Indeed - I heard the snickering at the end of the call and really disappointing that not only are insecure communications being practiced by the cybersecurity leader, but also it is now more evident that he has complete disdain to the wider McKesson Organization - at least behind perceived closed doors. Our mission at McKesson should be to deliver health care and make peoples lives better. But these types of closed-door conversations illustrate potentially there are much larger 'bad behviours' going on, that may see the light of day sooner rather than later. Dominos will fall.

The “someone” that said that and laughed was the CISO, Michael McNeil
