I wasn't with Sears for very long, but I now work for Circuit City. It just has a couple of marketing guys, tiny IT staff, and has a couple of vendor agreements, and is a shoestring operation, but it's profitable with customer service that can actually do something, and does MORE business than sears.com, if you can believe that. Transform's "digital" ambitions (headed by LM) is pathetic, she has NO idea what she's doing.

I don't know why everyone is so upset, Circuit City now exists as a purely online play. So does Montgomery Ward. As one other poster noted, Sears is likely headed for this fate. Someone will buy it for no other reason but to cash in on the boomer nostalgia. Lots of dollars there, look at every brand trying to take it back to the 70s/80s/90s.
Sears.com will become like Circuit City, people buy up the database, web address and brand as one of the last assets in a closing down sale. I am sure it will have some value and the sale of it can't be far off now.
Circuit City only has an online presence nowadays and there are no physical stores left since like 2009 or so if I'm not mistaken
Still seems to be in business; at least online.

LMAO! Circuit City went out of business in late 2008/early 2009. I bought my post separation flat screen tv at one of the liquidation sales. Man, the bears are hungry. This board is dead because there’s no more closures, so they’ll come up with ANYTHING to get the lemmings to engage.
I thought Circuit City has gone out of business. Along with Good Guys. Then Radio Shack in my neighborhood. I remember years and years ago when Circuit City got me to buy all this computer equipment and saying there is this rebate that I can get for buying the junk. They then sat on my rebate application until it was too late to return the items before telling me my purchases did not qualify for the rebate. There were other customers in the store that they screwed too. It happened so many years ago and I remember thinking "Karma" they got when they shut down. Are you sure you're working there? I will make sure to avoid shopping there for sure. At least Best Buy is still around thanks to XBox and PS4/5
Circuit City still exists??
LOL, Circuit Sh---y!
Get outta here Circuit City guy!
