This company does not care about the working class man or woman. Why give them BUSINESS, I will be posting on social media, you tube and Facebook for how customers can save money. Things like there is no need for paying for over 300mbps, free tv ...hope this spreads like wildfire..
And how to cheat the system. Since they've been cheating their employees and especially customers..

Every customer facing employees isn't safe in this company. The only reason they are hiring isn't because they want to its because they're trying to avoid franchise being revoked and millions of dollars in fines.

Please don’t put your trust into this company. You can and will not retire from here. I was told today we’re lucky enough to get another year. Start investing in your self and look to leave, don’t be the guy caught with nothing. Just passing along important information. Take it for what it is. The world is opening up. telecommunications have always used contractors. Let's think this through. Your union successfully gets rid of contractors, fo you really think the company will hire more in-house techs? Doubt it. You, the in-house tech will be doing more. On-call will come back and the days of you saying I want to leave at 4 today and kick back these extra calls will also go away. You better think of every angle before you start saying "get rid of contractors". Contractors allow you to leave on time, contractors give you all those extra holidays. Funny, they were never a problem until you joined a union. Now they're scabs taking your jobs. yEA, THEYRE TAKING YOUR EXTRA 2-5 AND 5-8 YOU DONT WANT TO DO.

To the people who are saying to eliminate all contractors: it’s impossible. Our entire industry depends on them including Verizon.

Also educate yourselves on unions. They aren’t some magic button you press that makes everything better. They can be really useful though.

This is known,ask an ATT/Directv tech if you doubt it.Im not pro nor anti.Ive always believed if you treat youre employees right,theres no need for a seperate entity to step in on youre behalf.Over the years ive heard negative feedback on both sides of the fence.I know theres alot of DTV techs(mostly CWA)with less than a decade of tenure Ole "Stanky" canned on his way out the door with his 50 mill in tow.So no,noone is "safe" regardless.

I wouldnt waste my energy on trying to go with CWA instead of IBEW. I work under CWA and theres scabs everwhere. One of us quits and we get replaced by a scab. I use my cwa and altice shirts to wipe my behind!

It’s abundantly clear you don’t work in Bethpage, we are union and this is what we were told!! Believe it or not. Union also had no answers And HR as brain dead as she is stated the company is going in a different direction. But I’m not here to argue’ my last day is tomorrow. Because I’m strong and smart enough to move forward. Not hold my life back anymore. I landed a fantastic job. And I don’t have to pay for benefits. No one was told to take a package and forced to take it . That just sounds crazy. Some People were laid off involuntarily and brought back by the union . I know my facts bud. I also have over 20 years . People who were not represented by the union had to re-apply for their jobs back and apply for a shift they don’t want. Anyone else want to confirm this ? Just so I know my facts are straight .

point is, they didn't save any jobs. They just played the clam shell game and moved people from one depot to another. None of the 7 got a call back because of eligibility. Taking a VRP nixes that. Again, 7 left, you brought in 3-4 techs from Oakland. Who picked up the slack for the other 3-4 techs missing? Did you guess contractors??!?! DING DING DING!!!! "oh they can't lay me off and bring in contractors" welp, just because the 7 technically didn't get "laid off", they can still bring in a couple contractors and they did. You can't be seriously this blind. They will figure it out. As a field tech, you will not be "retiring" at 65 from altice.

so wait, you're trying to tell me that union depot's didn't layoff last year? You can't say they brought everyone back either. 7 guys walked out of 7876 taking a voluntary and they transferred I believe 3-4 guys from Oakland. So to me, the math says that if they laid of 6 guys like they originally planned, 2-3 of them would still be out of a job. They didn't hire anyone new, they simply transferred from another union depot. Don't tell me you're safe with a union. If the union was so great, they would have transferred the full 6 that they initially wanted to lay off and they didn't.

Better raises? 2.5%? Here's the thing that makes me laugh. When you had stack ranking, guys that busted their as--s got good raises and guys that fell on the bottom, got nothing. To me, the harder you work, the better you're treated. So now, you are on a level playing field. You all get 2.5%. Hooray! You can use your a-s and get the same raise that just skates by lol You're union does not protect you. It simply makes you all on the same playing field.

I'll bet only half of you have actually read your contracts. Keep thinking your safe when more and more contractors are being hired from Allamuchy to Towaco . They may not be able to "layoff" to bring in contractors but they can sure as he-l let you go one by one for metrics. Who do you think you'll be replaced with?

Also be advised gentlemen who were laid off last may only came back on a temporary basis due to a strong storm on August 4 2020, There not looking to lose a franchise. This was brought up at a meeting I don’t care care anymore because I’m going to Florida for a better offer,Please all I ask is do your homework. I’m going to tell the young guys in the field Whether you’re OSP or Field service! I’m here 27 years this statement is 100 percent correct. I’m not a rookie I will tell you this. There is no future here anymore. There is corruption and fraud and your lives and family depend on our checks. I’m going to to tell you start looking yesterday for something else better. They have offered VRPs 4 times in 5 years. What I witnessed last may was disturbing. The highest respected personnel from Bethpage walked out the door. The absolute best of the best walked out the door!! They do not care about you or anyone for that matter. If they did they would have stopped these employees from leaving! They did not. All that talent walked away I wish now I was one of them . Goo luck here All the best

This is by far the most toxic environment I’ve ever worked in! Not 1 employee is happy nor are the customers, I can’t understand why or how a business is ran this way. It won’t be long until this place simply shuts down. I’m physical I’ll coming here every day not knowing if it’s my last day. I pray for the next VRP to get out and live a normal life again
