I can't believe that there are people in leadership positions who don't understand what a waste it is if talented employees are handed over to the competition so easily, and young people are hired in their place who don't have much enthusiasm for work.
Either I don’t understand that business strategy, or are they really that incompetent?
The third possible reason is that the company simply has no way to afford to keep people with a lot of experience, which I don’t believe.

Since someone open the politics door.... The 4th floor in Hickory was whining & crying ab Trumps trade policies with China and how it was hurting CS bc they outsourced CS jobs. Like their hero queen corrupt HRC and Beijing Biden they need to be outsourced.
Chuck doesn't need to be a C-suite talent. Talent is only required if the aim is to build a leading tech company with new ideas, innovative new products which can create/penetrate new markets. Chuck's sole purpose is to package CS so that it can be sold ASAP. To that end, he is more than qualified for that task.
Just think how demoralized the folks in CPE/HN must be feeling to see that even before the spinoff, they have already been separated from the rest of "high margin" CS, branded as a low margin business with no future, and are blamed for the current CS financial predicament! Successful companies normally regard themselves as 1 Team, with 1 vision, laser focused of becoming the dominant player in their industry. Sadly, with CS, its "High Margin" us, and "Low Margin" them!
"Folks it's the NEW American way."
Truth! Don't worry, the government will take care of you by printing trillions more and creating hyperinflation. The d-mb schmucks who work hard and pay too much in taxes will pay for it.
I used to think Commscope was a great company. That was back when we used to buy their cables (I mean, when I worked for another company in the San Francisco/Peninsula/Bay Area).
However, after this Commscope thing happened, I have new Insight.
First, they had some lame thinking about cables being communication equipment. It's not even the PHY layer. The PHY layer is basically firmware that runs on communication equipment and sends data using a medium. E.G. Commscope fiber cables. I don't know why Commscope management talks like that, my first impression was they were not the brightest bulbs though.
Anyway, to be fair, Commscope also has LTE. But for just some lane reason they showcased it later, I guess. Maybe because at the time they were stuck in 3G/4G, when the rest of the world was already hopping on 5G.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that my first impression of these guys is that they appeared like fish out of water, in the Bay Area. I was obviously not impressed. Others were impressed, but I sensed they would start with this "textbook" cr-p, like getting rid of seasoned engineering and replacing them with contract corporations.
By contract corporations, I mean corporations that hire people and pay them as a full time employee & and send them to work for companies like Commscope.
I have seen this type of managers go down that rabbit ho-e before and hire teams of contract workers. In many cases it cost us a lot more money.
But management usually does not care. They know they can take a bonus and pass the problems on to the next management team.
By that time they will have moved onto another smorgasbord, to feast on another company's generous bonuses.
Unfortunately, this has become all too common. Commscope seems to be no exception.
Folks it's the NEW American way.
Fauccci gave money to Wuhhan?
CS gives their business away to foreign contract companies.
Consistent idiocy is everywhere these days.
Chuck was never a C-suite member of any Fortune 500 or even a billion dollar company in the past..
How qualified is he to lead CommScope?
They are that incompetent and self absorbed.
