Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

I have no more expectations.

That means - I'm leaving. I really couldn’t stand the people anymore who don’t fit the positions they were promoted to. It is humiliating to have a superior from whom you have more knowledge and experience, and he is playing power games with you. That is unacceptable.
Until when will the wrong people be in high positions? I would like to visit this forum again in half a year and see that Apache has finally managed to stop such a practice, but I doubt it.

Maybe a rambling email from the CAO will make everything better, or yet another survey. Mo--n

So they reduce technical people over 50%, so many are working extra hours and weekends to meet the goals, same goals as before with double the people. And all that extra work and effort to be rated at 3, “met goals”.
I don’t blame you, I just cannot quit without having another job.

"I have no more expectations" is a troll. He's posted on other oil company sites trying to move the centerline by drawing out the disgruntled and insecure. You are better off not listening to it.

Congratulations and good luck! Many of us are envious of your new chapter and are currently in search of something similar. I'm glad that you've taken the next step and wish well on your transition. I sincerely hope you thrive.

When I started with Apache I was REALLY proud to be a part of such an amazing organization. I loved my job, my coworkers, my team and my boss. We were all moving in the same common direction striving for the same common goal in unison. Now, most people are cold and selfish, leadership is uneducated and inexperienced, there is no servant leadership. The culture is fake, drab and uninviting. Truthfully, the people I respect at Apache are not in leadership positions (but should be) or are no longer here. They were laid off or passed over for promotions by outsiders, brown nosers and cronyism. I too am leaving Apache as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

There is no loyalty between a corporation and it's employees. So take care of yourself first. Run.

That anonymous (hateful) poster can’t do better than Apache. And, worst yet, doesn’t realize how low-brow Apache is.
That door has hit the poster in the head.

Good for you! You are better and we are proud of you for taking the steps to leave.

Wish us all the best— many of us are stuck (for now).

Just the kind of “People are our greatest asset” lack of values that has tanked APA. No wonder why this page reads like a Jerry Springer transcript.

To the poster, all the best on finding a healthier culture and rewarding workplace!
