Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

How much time is left until the system collapses?

Maintenance can only be avoided for so long before the system collapse. It will cost much more in the future to bring everything back to standard than it would to maintain the equipment and track now. The reality is we have very short sided leadership and no vision for the future of the company.

Absolutely! If so little is invested in maintenance, I'm afraid the system will collapse very soon. The only question is how much time is left until that, that is, how long this situation can last.

Run it till it won’t. Park in siding. Buy or lease another. Wash, rinse, repeat. At least we got rid of the employees, unions, the FRA, and the liabilities. Highball!

We are trying 19 trains down a day on
LA subs and on the Mojave subs.

Not a way to gain customers that now Fritz's wants.
