Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

I'm ashamed to still be working here

When friends from competing companies start questioning me about the working conditions here, the details of the lawsuit etc.
I'm not at all proud to work here. I often try to embellish the truth so that I would not be so ashamed to work here. I can't wait to leave.
I don't know if there is anyone who can be proud to work in a company like this?

The fact that someone “good” is still there… tells you’re a “good” part of the problem

Nothing will change until the entire director and sr director level is replaced. Nobody in Austin, Melville, Bengaluru, Mougins or Strasbourg at an engineering management or lead role has accomplished anything of value in four years. All that has been happening since 2016 is a continuing game of power grabs by these same incompetents. Out with the old, they failed and will continue to fail at everything except hot air generation. All profit coming from old products and that is not going to last forever. It isn't just the VP and C-suite, they are useless at every company. We lost or chased out much good talent but there is some left.

There is a great guy in Austin that can lead the whole software and do a better job. Let’s get rid of the loser.

Who will head software is now the burning question.
As for the commitment to transformation… it’s like cost cutting, it’s for you, for investors, but never for anyone that came from FLIR

I got loaded on money like everyone else… I told the software guru no less than 3 times about those same people that appear on this posts especially the one backstabbing his clueless boss from the leaking Niagara … each time he listened , bobbed his head ….and did nothing …so we spin and spin and we are transforming. Maybe arrogance…. like the 3 months CTO that also did nothing except give even more money for projects that lead nowhere. Each step of the way those people blocked and stopped.
Nothing changes except the volume of getting personally rich. I would not trust any president either. Tone deaf.

I am not ashamed… there are a—-ers born every minute.
under the excuse there is no qualified people I got paid very well above market, and we don’t need to work like during the previous leadership.
We just have to keep the stock price inflated (using any means which is what we call transformation) until the lawsuit is done, sell those to pay the billions dues and then fold and sell rezi for parts. Like a car , worth more in parts than as a whole especially ADT. As for the security and comfort… it’s dead …we all know it

@fqbw,
The PM help is sadly the only thing that Austin person can do. Has a peer in comfort that is the same type (peer in as they recognize each other to be at the same level is capabilities )
What ineffective those people are…

I did like the comment about the private jet for the software directors… sadly that where we are. No choice. The business wants fleshligth to own software and get some PM help so until that happens the Niagara of li---r won’t make it.

Look at who is still there… all the people brought or promoted to position and salarié unmatched anywhere else. As long as those remain nothing will change… engineering, PMO, IT….all grossly overpaid and grazing on the back of investors or the fools that bought the tricked stock.

I am in the USA software entity and we are laughing about all those posts. We spend millions on our projects , and that “new”guy who claims he knows it all, for the past 10 mo has been eating everything like candy.from our directors. He can’t even find the restroom on his own.
Dont make a mistake he is on his way out. Another Honeywell bites the dust soon.
Texas rules!!!

If you are ashamed to work there then move on. It's not rocket science.

Btw, 90% of the people with cr-p management skills or decision making (lack of) are still working here… and making out of market money way above market for their skills

Thats sad. Are you too incompetent to find another job because you did not keep with the skills the world needs?

Yeah we had jerks for management, whats in the lawsuit happened 2 years ago. Only one of those guys mentioned still works here. The evidence and the commitment Ive seen by this management has been backed by their actions.

We might not be the best out there, but I can evidence we are on the right trajectory here.
