Is it just me or does it seem to you that there has never been more pressure to achieve the best possible performance?
In my case, that pressure is increasingly unbearable. On the other hand, I think their performance pressure serves as a very unproductive strategy. The more pressure I feel, the less motivated I am to work.

Performance is a funny thing at Devon and corporate America... you can have decent performance during your entire time there and the last bonus you received backs that up. Then suddenly, you turned 50 and/or they've found someone who can do your job for less....and WHAM!... you're suddenly an incompetent neanderthal.
